I have the great previledge of knowing and being tuitored by Dr Adeoye while undergoing my Masters in Educational Technology @ UNILAG! Oh! All valid points! Jones is rising fast, and I actually have him above Werner now in my rankings. It all comes down to who the Pack feels is a better personnel fit. I like your idea though. I think the idea of Swearinger will be a guilty pleasure pick that while he may not fit, they are too curious not to take him. Regardless of if they take Swearinger or not, I think McDonald is definitely one of their top targets near the 4th and 5th rounds.

Werner is way too small to play DE for the Packers. At 265 lbs. he would get eaten alive at a 3/4 DE position. He is too slow and cumbersome to play OLB for them, and they have their #1 pick from last year playing opposite Mathews. Look for the Pack to take Datone Jones-Reid-of Elam in round 1. Even if they take Jones I don’t see Swearinger as their #2 pick. He lacks speed that the Packers require in their safetys and they can get a gy like TJ McDonald later in the draft.

I actually hesitated greatly in that 2nd round pick to the Packers. In the end I gave it to them because I saw no other immense needs, and Sam Shields was rumored to be offered a deal by Kansas City that he was likely to accept. By the point I uploaded the post, Sean Smith took Shield’s place in KC, and made me look pretty foolish. But that’s the beauty of the NFL offseason!

That is a good idea! I just think the needs the Vikings have created will guarantee the first pick goes to a receiver, and the second will go to a surer prospect. Te’o's whole saga is scaring off some teams, and I bet only a team with a strong veteran linebacker at his position will take him, so Te’o has a mentor from Day 1 to keep him in line.
