Act your age not your shoe size

I find it extremely irritating and childish when people think that it is okay to judge and bully people. Aren’t we old enough to realize that we have absolutely no right to gossip about someone else’s life?
We are supposed to be adults. We are in college for God’s sake! Yet people still find pleasure in someone else’s pain.
I was recently in a situation where other girls thought it was the “cool” thing to do, to try to intimidate another person with hurtful words and dirty looks. These girls are 25- years-old! What is wrong with this picture?
They are old enough to be having kids, and they still think the need to interfere with someone else’s business and put their “oh so worthy” two cents in?
Why does someone else’s life affect them so much? I am starting to think those who get bullied should feel flattered that someone else is so concerned with their life that they have to talk about them.
These people have nothing better to do, and it’s pathetic. I wonder if they are jealous. What is it? I can’t seem to figure out their reasoning, but this is what I think of those bullies, “You are childish. You are too concerned with others when you should probably be taking a closer look at your own life because it’s depressing. You spend your life worrying about what someone else is doing rather than just enjoying your own life. You must really wish you were the person you are bullying because you are so obsessed with what they are doing.”
These bullies clearly had awful parents if they never learned, “If you don’t have something nice to say than don’t say it at all.” This was taught to us at the age of four. We should have learned that by now.
It’s sad that these people find joy in others’ pain. Next time someone else tries to intimidate you with words, just take a closer look at that person.
Moreover, there is a saying that these bullies need to start learning, “Walk a mile in someone else’s shoes before you judge.”
None of us know what it is like to live someone else’s life. We don’t know what they have been through, end of story. So how is it okay or how could we even be credible to judge someone else if we don’t even know what it’s like to live their life?
The answer to that question is, it’s just not okay. So for all of you who have ever been bullied hold your head high because the person saying hurtful things have no clue what they’re talking about, and for all you bullies, act your age not your shoe size because you really are making a fool out of yourself.
