12/23/14 – Criminal Mischief – This department was notified of damage to done to a balcony door in Wheatley hall.  The glass was broken by a BB or pellet, pictures were taken and a report was issued. (Closed)

12/23/14 – Departmental Information – Information was given to a representative of the Island Sports Center on obtaining a Trespass Warning. (Closed)

12/23/14 – Burglar Alarm – Guardian reported a burglar/intrusion alarm activated at the Alumni House.  Upon officers arrival it was determined that the alarm was triggered by a maintenance employee.  The alarm was reset and the officers cleared the call. (Closed)

12/25/14 – Trouble Alarm – Guardian reported a trouble alarm activated at the Alumni House.  Officers determined the cause to be faulty hardware and maintenance was advised. (Closed)

12/25/14 – Trouble Alarm – Guardian reported a trouble alarm activated at the Alumni House.  The building was checked and the alarm found to be a false activation.  Maintenance was notified. (Closed)

12/26/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activation in Patrick Henry.  Maintenance was notified and advised they were working on the system, which caused the alarm. (Closed)

12/27/14 – Assist Another Agency – Allegheny County 911 advised of a fire located at the Groveton Boat Club in a building that housed boats owned by the University.  All necessary information was obtained and passed onto the appropriate department. (Closed)

12/28/14 – Accident – A patron at the Island Sports Center opened their car door and hit the door of the vehicle parked next to them.  All information was obtained from both vehicle owners and a report was issued for insurance purposes. (Closed)

12/29/14 – Trouble Alarm – Guardian reported a communications failure from the alarm system at the Island Sports Center. An officer responded and upon arrival, the system was operational. (Closed)

12/29/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Concord Hall.  Upon officers arrival it was determined that the cause was burnt food.  Maintenance was notified to reset the alarm. (Closed)

12/29/14 – Suspicious Person – This department was advised of a group in Sewall Center on the basketball court.  An officer responded and advised the group they were not permitted to use the facility and to leave.  All parties left the area without incident. (Closed)

12/31/14 – Fire Alarm – A resident in Concord Hall reported setting off their fire alarm while cooking.  The room was checked by officers and maintenance was notified to reset the alarm. (Closed)

1/05/15 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Lexington Hall.  Officers responded and found the alarm company testing the system.  Maintenance was notified. (Closed)

1/05/15 – Departmental Information – US Customs contacted this department in reference to an international student at the airport.  US Customs requested a Faculty member contact them to verify the student’s status.  The information was passed on to the appropriate person. (Closed)

1/07/15 – Fire Alarm – This department was advised of a fire alarm activated in Concord Hall.  Upon officers arrival the cause for the alarm was burnt food.  The alarm was reset, and maintenance was notified. (Closed)

1/08/15 – Civil Complaint – This department was advised of a possible violation to a custody order at the Island Sports Center.  All pertinent information was obtained and a report was issued. (Closed)

1/08/15 – Lost Property – An employee reported losing their University issued keys.  A report was issued and forwarded to the University locksmith. (Closed)

1/09/15 – Failure to Disperse – Student Financial Services called and reported a problem with a parent in Revere Center.  The issue was resolved and police assistance was no longer needed. (Closed)

1/10/15 – Fire Alarm – Guardian called and reported a fire alarm activated in Concord hall.  Upon officers arrival it was determined the cause was burnt food.  Maintenance was advised and the alarm was reset. (Closed)

1/11/15 – Fire Alarm – Guardian and Moon Dispatch reported a fire alarm activation at Yorktown Hall.  Upon officers arrival it was determined that the alarm was caused by a brief power outage.  Maintenance was advised of the situation. (Closed)

1/12/15 – Suspicious Person – Officers found a male inside Massey Hall that is affiliated with the University.   The male was advised to leave the property and not to return. (Closed)

1/12/15 – Accident – A female reported backing into a vehicle in the Barry Center parking lot.  All pertinent information was obtained and a report was issued for insurance purposes. (Closed)

1/12/15 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Concord Hall.  Upon officers arrival it was determined the cause was burnt food.  Maintenance was notified and the alarm was reset. (Closed)

1/12/15 – Suspicious Person – This department was advised of a suspicious male in the parking lock by Revere Center.  Officers responded and spoke with the male who was leaving campus. (Closed)

1/12/15 – Lost Property – A female student reported her keys and wallet missing.  A short time later the female called advising that her belongings were found. (Closed)

1/12/15 – Departmental Information – A courier dropped off a set of luggage at Barry Center belonging to a student.  The student was notified that the luggage was here to be picked up. (Closed)

1/13/15 – Fire Alarm – Operations notified that a contractor working in Yorktown Hall set off the fire system while vacuuming dry was dust.  Maintenance was on scene and reset the alarm system. (Closed)

1/13/15 – Suspicious Person – A faculty member reported finding their office door open in Massey Hall upon returning from class, and believing it was closed when they left.  The cameras will be reviewed in an attempt to verify if access was made to the office in the faculty member’s absence. (Open)

1/14/15 – Theft – Pro Shop employees at the Island Sports Center reported a theft of merchandise.  This incident is under investigation at this time. (Open)

1/14/15 – Medical Emergency – This department was advised of a male passed out in the Hale Center.  Valley Ambulance was contacted and transported the male to Heritage Valley Sewickley for treatment. (Closed)

1/14/15 – Accident – A female reported her vehicle damaged while parked in the Upper Massey parking lot.  Pictures were taken of the damage as well as all pertinent information.  A report was issued for insurance purposes. (Closed)

1/15/15 – Missing Property – This department was advised of an art exhibit missing from the gallery in Wheatley Center.  The cameras were reviewed and it is believed the exhibit was thought be trash and thrown away. (Closed)

1/15/15 – Student Conduct – An officer located students drinking in a room at Yorktown Hall during a walkthrough.  The students were cooperative and admitted to drinking.  All parties were advised that they would be sent through Judicial Affairs for judgment. (Closed)

1/15/15 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Concord Hall.  Upon officers arrival it was determined the cause to be from the resident cooking.  Maintenance was notified and reset the alarm. (Closed)

1/16/15 – Student Conduct – Officers were called to Washington Hall for a possibly party.  Officers responded and found alcohol to be present in the room.  All parties were advised they would be sent through Judicial Affairs for Judgment.  One non-student was issued a trespass warning. (Closed)

1/16/15 – Medical Emergency – A juvenile patron at the Island Sports Center was experiencing problems with his internal defibrillator.  Valley Ambulance was contacted at the request of the father and both were transported to Children’s Hospital. (Closed)

1/17/15 – Suspicious Vehicle – An officer checked on a vehicle parked in the Washington Lot with the headlights on.  Upon approaching the vehicle, a male was inside sleeping.  The male was identified and under the influence of alcohol.  A friend was contacted and the male was released to them for the night. (Closed)

1/17/15 – Found Property – An officer was flagged down by a male who turned over a piece of jewelry found in the Washington Lot.  The item was taken, listed as found property, and stored at the Police Department. (Closed)

1/18/15 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activation in Concord Hall.  Upon officers arrival it was determined the cause was from burnt food.  Maintenance was notified and the alarm was reset. (Closed)

1/18/15 – Suspicious Person – This department was advised of a suspicious male inside Concord Hall.  Officers responded and checked the building and surrounding areas with negative results. (Closed)

1/19/15 – Disturbance – This department was advised of a noise complaint in Salem Hall.  Upon officers arrival the residents complied with the request to keep the noise down. (Closed)

1/19/15 – Accident – A resident of Yorktown Hall reported damage done to their vehicle while parked at the building.  Pictures were taken of the damage and a report was issued for insurance purposes. (Closed)

1/19/15 – Welfare Check – This department was advised of three people waiting outside Veterans Affairs waiting to have their taxes done.  Officers responded and advised all three that the office was closed for the day. (Closed)

1/19/15 – Smell of Marijuana – Residence Life reported a strong odor of marijuana inside Salem Hall.  Upon officer arrival, the building was checked with negative findings. (Closed)

1/19/15 – Trespass Warning – Residence life reported a suspicious male wandering around Salem Hall.   Officers located the male who is not currently a student of RMU.  The male was transported to a hotel on University Blvd. for the night and issued a trespass warning. (Closed)
