HARRISONBURG, Va.– After a strong performance at last week’s Mason Spring Invite, the Robert Morris track and field team is back in action as they travel to the JMU Invitational, hosted by the Dukes of James Madison.
At last week’s Mason Spring Invite, the Colonials were led by the French sophomore Estelle Katende. Katende threw her shot put 13.89 meters (45’7″) to claim gold. Katende’s performance was also good enough for fourth in the RMU record books, now owning three of the top four performances in Colonials history.
Also with a strong performance was the sophomore, Nina Radisavljevic. Radisavljevic finished second in two events, one on the track and one in the field. In the triple jump, she leaped a personal best of 11.78 meters (38′ 7.75″). That distance is currently fourth in the NEC.
On the track, Radisavljevic finished second in the 400-meter hurdles. Radisavljevic finished second with a time of 1:03.24. 28 seconds behind Radisavljevic was Madison Mueseler with a time of 1:03.52.
