Dana Vatakis named Horizon League Pitcher of the Week

Robert Morris senior pitcher Dana Vatakis has been named Horizon League Pitcher of the Week after helping the Colonials improve to 5-0 in Horizon League play.

She notched a complete game against the UIC Flames this past weekend, going the distance for the third time this year. Vatakis notched seven strikeouts and only gave up three hits in the 8-1 victory.
She also picked in the second game of the doubleheader against Akron on March 22, in which she promptly struck out the side in her only inning of relief.
Vatakis has been a big part of Robert Morris’ success this year for the team and she has really helped the Colonials get off to a roaring start in just their second season in the Horizon League.
