“This has to be the most fun year of my life, I have three kids, a wife, a podcast and I’m the best in the world at my position.”

Jason Kelce, center for the Philadelphia Eagles, has made a documentary of 2022-23 NFL season. When you think of watching a season through the eyes of a player, the last person you’d think of is a center, who has one of the most mundane jobs on the field. But, as it turns out, it can be very good.

While yes, we get the story of the Super Bowl again, this time it feels fresh. We get to see the struggle that 2022 was for Kelce. We see what it’s like being a center with two kids through Jason Kelce and what it’s like being the wife of an NFL player through Kylie Kelce, his wife. The first half of the documentary is fully just the regular season and the postseason. The most heart you get is how the Kelce brothers start their podcast “New Heights” and the boys at Cincinnati. When we get to the heart of the movie, I really love the story. As an older brother myself, it was utterly heartwarming hearing about how Jason would help Travis and put it all on the line for him to get back on the team after they took him off. For me, it really hit home and even brought a bit of a tear to my eye because of how much I understand that. I get the feeling of being the older brother doing whatever it takes to make sure your younger brother succeeds. He gets to live his dream. I got the same feeling in the first half when they showed “Championship Weekend.”Jason is at the bar, celebrating and watching his brother. I have memories of going to random gyms all over Western Pennsylvania to watch basketball and being on the edge of your seat when your brother gets the ball.

The second half of the movie is fully the Super Bowl and Kelce’s plan after. This time instead of focusing on the game, we get the story. Of what’s it like to be on the world’s biggest stage and you are with your brother. We see Jason’s interview, we hear from Travis, and of course, we see Mama Kelce as well. Her small role in the movie was phenomenal. She is delightful and a fantastic mom, even bringing cookies on media day which was the perfect way to end that segment. We get the story of the game we have seen a million times, but a nice twist was seeing Kylie Kelce and her daughters. Now, as a “New Heights” fan, you know she is funny, but she was fantastic in this. Her with the kids, talking about how she met Jason, it all works perfectly. After the game, when Jason Kelce returns to his hotel with his family is so cute it also brought a tear to my eye. His daughters are just adorable and I’m glad we got to see them. The rest follows the off-season and whether or not Jason will walk away from the game he loves.
