247 Fighting Championships Introduces Sunny Days Arena at The Venue

After the sudden news of the Monroeville Convention Center’s closure plans on Monday, February 12, an event planning company has stepped up.

247 Fighting Championships is a Canonsburg-based company that provides MMA entertainment to the Pittsburgh area as a premier combat sports organization. Following the news of the Monroeville Convention Center’s decision to close, 247 Fighting Championships are proud to announce their new event space: Sunny Days Arena at The Venue.

The new space is located in the historic Phoenix Theatres building in North Versailles. They aim to open in the summer of 2024, which overlaps with the planned closure of the Monroeville Convention Center. Sunny Days Arena aims to serve as a new home for small to mid-sized events, offering a solution for those impacted by the recent events at Monroeville.

Hunter Homistek, the general manager of 247 Fighting Championships, is excited about the partnership, “We are thrilled to announce that Sunny Days In-Home Care, a steadfast supporter of 247 FC from our inception, has acquired the naming rights for the event space in a landmark deal. This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to the community and marks a significant milestone as we prepare to launch ‘Sunny Days Arena at The Venue.'”

Sunny Days Arena hopes to fill the need that the Monroeville Convention Center’s closure is creating. They hope to turn the space into an accommodating area that can host a variety of events including meetings, concerts, sports competitions, and more. To fill the gap, Sunny Days Arena is in the midst of extensive renovations to transform it into the much-needed smaller to mid-sized gathering spaces.

247 Fighting Championships is excited about its new space and invites event organizers to get in contact with them, especially after the unexpected news of the closure. They hope that event planners can discuss how Sunny Days Arena can fulfill their upcoming events. Their team is working hard to get into contact with these event planners and make the transition and new partnerships as easy and seamless as possible.

“The Venue, and specifically Sunny Days Arena within it, represents more than just a physical space; it’s an integral part of our commitment to supporting the local economy and the diverse needs of our community,” Homistek added. “We understand the critical role these events play, not just for the organizers but also for the myriad local businesses that thrive on event-driven traffic.”

For information on booking or on the updates of the new event space, interested parties can look on Facebook and Instagram. 247 Fighting Championships will be posting behind-the-scenes looks and announcements. They are also hoping to unveil their website soon at “sunnydaysarena.com.”

“We eagerly anticipate the opening of Sunny Days Arena at The Venue and the opportunity to host a wide array of events. Together with Sunny Days In-Home Care and the broader community, we’re committed to making this arena a cornerstone of entertainment and gathering in North Versailles.”
