Jeff Jackson of North Carolina Announces run for Attorney General

Jeff Jackson of North Carolina Announces run for Attorney General

Representative Jeff Jackson of North Carolina announced to his Tiktok followers that he will run for Attorney General of North Carolina. This comes after the Republican-led congress of the state adopted a redraw of the districts that would prevent Jackson from winning in the next election.

Rep. Jackson is well known on TikTok for amassing over 2.5 million followers on the popular social media app. Jackson has been considered widely popular due to his neutral views in presenting issues in the government to the rest of the American people.

Following the announcement that the district map was approved on Wednesday, Jackson declared that his seat, including two others that belong to Democrats as unsafe. The former map allowed the districts to be split evenly with 7-7, however, it now gives Republicans an advantage.

Jackson called the approval of the redrawn map political corruption and would therefore run for Attorney General of North Carolina. This run would make the election for the Attorney General one that voters should be watching due to Jackson’s popularity and the fact that the representative’s former position was Assistant to the Attorney General. His previous work history and experience as a soldier and congressman would likely help him in the polls including his fairly neutral perspectives in politics.
