1/31/23: Departmental Information: RMU Police ran a criminal history on new police hire. The case is closed.

1/31/23: Motor Vehicle Accident without Injury: RMU staff reported a minor vehicle accident outside Lexington Hall. Both drivers denied medical treatment. All pertinent information and pictures were obtained for insurance purposes. This case is closed.

1/31/23: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be students cooking vegetable bowls. RMU Maintenance was notified. Fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. The case is closed.

1/31/23: Suspicious Incident: A sorority reported unwanted guests entered their meeting in the Hale Center. Officers responded and were unable to locate the suspects. Officers escorted the sorority members to their vehicles. This case is closed.

2/01/23: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be a student cooking bacon. RMU Maintenance was notified. Fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. The case is closed.

2/01/23: Departmental Information: A faculty member stopped to report a student in distress over on campus housing. RMU Police notified Residence Life. This case is closed.

2/01/23: Criminal Mischief: A visitor reported damage to their vehicle parked at the RMU Island Sports Center. All pertinent information and pictures were obtained for insurance purposes. The case is closed.

2/02/23: Departmental Information: A student reported a minor vehicle accident in the Washington Gravel Lot. One student completed a voluntary statement. All pertinent information and pictures were obtained for insurance purposes. This case is closed.

2/02/23: Criminal Mischief: A RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer was notified by staff that juveniles had their drinks tampered with. The drinks were discarded and replaced with new. The juveniles were told not to leave the drinks unattended in the future. The case is closed.

2/02/23: Departmental Information: A RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer was informed by a juvenile about a missing necklace from the Pagoda locker room 1. Cameras will be reviewed to identify a suspect. The case is closed.

2/03/23: Found Property: A faculty member dropped off a wallet found in the Hale Center. The wallet was logged into Lost and Found. The student was notified. This case is closed.

2/03/23: Departmental Information: A RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer was informed about an altercation between a coach and player. The Public Safety Officer discovered the coach is the father of the player who was ejected from the game. The altercation was all verbal. The case is closed.

2/03/23: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be a faulty smoke detector head. RMU Maintenance was notified. Fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

2/05/23: Departmental Information: Allegheny County 911 dispatch advised of a motorist sitting in traffic. RMU Police informed them of an event on campus and traffic was moving. The case is closed.

2/05/23: Medical Emergency: A RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer was informed about an injured hockey player on the Clearview Rink. Medics responded and transported to the hospital. This case is closed.

2/05/23: Medical Emergency: UPMC Events Center staff requested RMU Police to evaluate a guest. Officers responded and located the patient. Medics responded and evaluated the patient. The patient refused transportation to the hospital. The case is closed.

2/06/23: Property Damage (Vehicle): A student reported damage to their vehicle parked in the Patrick Henry Lot. All pertinent information and pictures were obtained for insurance purposes. This case is closed.
