Springdale Mother charged after passing of Daugther

After the passing of five-year-old Diem McMunn-Gereshenski in a Springdale hospital back in June. Her mother, Samantha McMunn, was charged on Thursday.

McMunn was charged with involuntary manslaughter and endangering the welfare of children. After an examination of McMunn-Geresgenski, The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office said that the girl died of methadone toxicity and ruled the death an accident.

McMunn turned herself in Friday Morning.
