Following a stellar performance in RMU women’s soccer’s bounce back win over Southern Indiana last week, senior Jillian Marvin was named the Horizon League defender of the week.
After playing every minute last season for the Colonials, the defender has taken the step up, being named Captain last week as well by Head Coach Michelle Rick.
Marvin then returned the favor against USI, assisting twice against the Screaming Eagles, as well as contributing to the clean sheet at the back.
The Venitia native had contributed massively last season, including a game-winning playoff goal against IU Indy in the Horizon League quarterfinals.
She will get her next opportunity to lead by example when the Colonials welcome Canisius to the North Athletic Complex on Thursday. That game is slated to kickoff at 4 p.m.
