Freezing rain expected to cause problems during morning commute

A late Sunday night wintry mix is expected to bring freezing rain that could cause issues for commuters Monday morning.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory on Sunday that will go into at 1 a.m. Monday and remain in effect until 1 p.m. on Monday.

Snow accumulation of up to an inch is possible with up to a tenth of an inch of ice expected.

A mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain will begin to fall sometime before midnight and then change to just freezing rain late Sunday night.

The National Weather Service warns drivers to use caution during their morning commute on Monday.
