11/16/21: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Concord Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt food. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. The case is closed.

 

11/16/21: Disturbance/Loud Music or People: A student reported seeing a television falling by their window in Salem Hall. Officers responded and notified Residence Life. The student was located who tossed the television out the window. They stated they were agitated with the living conditions of their roommates. This case is closed.

 

11/16/21: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Residence Life reported they received an anonymous call for possible drugs in Madison Hall. Officers stood by while Res Life staff searched the room. Drug paraphernalia was found and removed from the room. One student will be sent through Student Conduct for violating the drug policy. The case is closed.

 

11/16/21: Medical Emergency:Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer reported a medical emergency. The hockey player was hit by a puck. They were attended to by a parent and did not need medics to respond. This case is closed.

 

11/17/21: Departmental Information: RMU Counseling Center requested an ambulance at Madison Hall. Officers responded. The student refused to be transported by medics. Their parents arrived and transported them to the hospital. The case is closed.

 

11/19/21: Failure to Stop at Stop Sign: RMU Police observed a vehicle that failed to stop at a posted stop sign. The officer conducted a traffic stop and explained the reason for the stop. The driver was given a verbal warning. This case is closed.

 

11/20/21: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Lexington Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be students cooking fish sticks. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. The case is closed.

 

11/20/21: Suspicious Incident: RMU Police received several suspicious phone calls. It was determined the caller was the significant other of an outside contracted employee. Officers located the employee and explained the calls. The employee apologized and would speak to their significant other to stop calling. This case is closed.

 

11/21/21: Accident Involving Damage – Unattended Vehicle: A student reported damage to their vehicle parked outside Lexington Hall. Report and pictures taken for insurance purposes. This report will be turned over to RMU Detectives. The case is pending.

 

11/21/21: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Hamilton Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be a hairdryer. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

 

11/21/21: Medical Emergency: Moon Dispatch reported an ambulance was dispatched to Concord Hall for a student having a medical emergency. Officers arrived with medics. The student was evaluated and refused to be transported. Their parents were on their way to take them home. The case is closed.

 

11/22/21: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be steam from the shower. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.
