8/30/22: Lost Property: RMU Staff reported a lost office key. The case is closed.

8/30/22: Accident Involving Damage-Unattended Vehicle: A student reported their vehicle was hit in the Patrick Henry Lot. All pertinent information and pictures were obtained for insurance purposes. This case is closed.

 

8/31/22: Departmental Information: RMU Police ran criminal history through CLEAN as per Pennsylvania State Police three-year policy. The case is closed.

 

8/31/22: Fire Alarm-False Alarm: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Concord Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt food. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

9/01/22: Suspicious Incident: An anonymous threat was made to the school. The RMU IT Department was able to identify the suspect. The Chief of Police and the Chief Information Security Officer for RMU spoke to the suspect who said it was a joke. The case is closed.

 

9/01/22: Medical Emergency: A Parkhurst manager reported a medical emergency in the Hale Café. Officers responded and medics transported the patient to the hospital. This case is closed.

9/01/22: Smell of Marijuana: Residence Life requested Officers assistance for a smell of marijuana in Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and met with Res Life. No marijuana or paraphernalia was found. This case is closed.

 

9/01/22: Medical Emergency: Residence Life reported a medical emergency outside their office. Officers responded and requested medics. Medics arrived and evaluated the student who refused to be transported to the hospital. The case is closed.

 

9/02/22: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Concord Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be a student using a hair dryer. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

 

9/02/22: Assist Other Police/EMS Agency: Moon Dispatch requested RMU Officers assist with traffic control for a one vehicle crash near the entrance of campus. The case is closed.

 

9/02/22: Underage purchase, consumption, possession: Residence Life reported an intoxicated individual outside Lexington Hall. Officers arrived and located the individual. They will be cited for underage drinking, public drunkenness, and trespassing on campus. This case is closed.

 

9/02/22: Disturbance/Loud Music or People: Residence Life reported a noise complaint in Concord Hall. Officers responded and identified the apartment by the blaring music. Residence Life was on the scene. Two students will be sent through Student Conduct for violating the alcohol policy. The case is closed.

 

9/02/22: Medical Emergency: A student requested medics in Yorktown Hall. Officers responded along with Residence Life. They were transported to the hospital. This case is closed.

 

9/03/22: Disturbance/Loud Music or People: A guest reported their belongings thrown around during the football game in Tailgate Alley. Officers arrived and located the complainant. They were able to gather their property with the help of bystanders. The suspect was located on camera and will be identified by RMU Detectives. The case is pending.

 

9/03/22: Found Property: RMU Police located Apple AirPods at Joe Walton Stadium. They were logged into Lost and Found. The case is closed.

 

9/03/22: Burglar Intrusion Alarm: Guardian Protection reported a burglar intrusion alarm at the recently sold University House. Edgeworth Police were dispatched to investigate. This case is closed.

 

9/04/22: Fire Alarm-False Alarm: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in the recently sold University House. Edgeworth Borough Police and Fire Department responded. No response is needed by this department going forward. The case is closed.

 

9/04/22: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be unknown. RMU Maintenance was in the building. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

 

9/04/22: Harassment by Communication: Student reported a verbal altercation with another student in Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and spoke with both students. Written statements were completed by parties. One student will be sent through Student Conduct. The case is closed.
