11/30 – Fire – Report of a light fixture on fire at the ISC golf dome. Upon officers’ arrival, Scott Baldwin from maintenance had unplugged the light and there were no further problems.

11/30 – Fire Alarm – Guardian advised of a fire alarm activated in Concord Hall. The cause for the alarm was burnt food. Officers reset the alarm panel and cleared.

12/01 – Fire Alarm – Guardian advised of a fire alarm activated in Washington Hall. Upon officers’ arrival, the alarm panel read ADDR 1D091 smoke detector. The building was checked with negative results and maintenance was notified.

12/02 – Access Device Fraud – A departmental credit card belonging to the university was fraudulently used on an Internet web site. A police report has been filed and this incident is under investigation at this time.

12/02 – Accident – A staff member reported getting into an accident with a university vehicle at an off campus location. All the necessary information was taken and a report was written for insurance purposes.

12/03 – Medical Emergency – Valley Ambulance reported they are sending an ambulance to the free lot for a female who was intoxicated and sick. Upon officers’ arrival, they met with the female who was identified as a resident student and was transported by ambulance to Sewickley Hospital. This incident is being sent to Judicial Affairs.

12/03 – Disorderly Conduct – A female student reported a male student taking her purse and refusing to return it. Officers were able to locate the male and the purse. Charges on the male are pending at this time.

12/03– Harassment – A female student reported receiving harassing texts from a male student. The male is being issued a citation for harassment from this department as well as being sent through Judicial Affairs.

12/03 – Medical Emergency – A referee working at the ISC dislocated his shoulder during a game. The referee refused medical treatment from the EMT that was working the game and had his daughter transport him to a hospital for further treatment.

12/04 – Harassment – A female student reported receiving harassing phone calls from an unknown number and wanted a report on file in case the cell phone carrier is able to trace the number. If information is received on the individual making the calls, harassment charges will be filed through this department.

12/06 – Departmental Information – An employee wanted a report on file that she was being harassed by a male that originated off campus. The employee just wanted a report on file with this department so we are aware of the situation being that she works here.

12/07 – Accident – This department was advised of an accident in the CFL parking lots. An officer responded, took both parties information and had one vehicle towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

12/07 – Student Conduct – Resident Life notified this department of students smoking marijuana outside Hamilton Hall. Officers were able to locate the students who are being sent through Judicial Affairs for possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.

12/08 – Suspicious Person – A female student reported being followed from class to her dorm by an unknown male. The cameras will be reviewed in the locations reported in an attempt to identify the male in question.

12/08 – Lost Property – A student came and reported his credit card lost or stolen possibly from the Jefferson Center. The cameras were reviewed in the location reported but were unable to locate anyone take the credit card. The student advised that he had canceled the credit card with his bank.

12/08 – Accident – A resident student reported damage done to his vehicle while parked in the Washington gravel lot. Pictures were taken of the damage to the vehicle and a report was written for insurance purposes. It is unsure when the damage occurred.

12/08 – Student Conduct – Residence Life reported an odor of marijuana coming from a room in Washington Hall. No one was present in the room, and Residence Life personnel checked the room with officers present. There was an odor of marijuana in the room along with paraphernalia. The residents of the room are being dealt with by Residence Life through Judicial Affairs.

12/09 – Student Conduct – A concerned father called stating that his son received a message from his roommate stating that two male students came looking for him and threatened him. After further investigation, it was found out that the roommate and a friend were playing a joke, and what was reported never happened. The roommate and the friend are being sent through Judicial Affairs due to the nature of the joke they chose to play.

12/10 – Underage Drinking – Officers were called to Salem Hall for a noise complaint. Officers found two students under the influence of alcohol. One was cited for underage drinking and the other was cited for public drunkenness.

12/10 – Student Conduct – This department was advised of a suspicious male walking by Sewall Center. Officers located the male who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Officers transported the male back to his dorm and advised him that he would be sent through Judicial Affairs for his actions.

12/10 – Departmental Information – A student came to Barry Center and wanted to have a report on file about an incident that occurred in her class. The information was taken and kept on file in case anything else was to occur.

12/10 – Welfare Check – A relative called this department and wanted an officer to check on a student who received bad news from home. An officer went and spoke with the student who was talking with friends and family and did not want any assistance at this time. The student was advised to contact this department if he changed his mind.

12/10 – Student Conduct – Residence Life reported students smoking marijuana outside of Braddock Hall. The students were located and their rooms were searched finding a minute amount of marijuana. Both students were advised that they are being sent through Judicial Affairs for this incident.

12/10 – Fire Alarm – Guardian advised of a fire alarm activated in Concord Hall. Upon officers’ arrival, it was determined that the cause for the alarm was burnt food. Officers reset the alarm panel.

12/11 – Underage Drinking – Residence Life reported two students who are intoxicated in Hancock Hall. Officers located both students and both were cited for underage drinking. One was taken to Coraopolis PD for lodging and the other to Sewickley Hospital due to their levels of intoxication.

12/11 – Lost Property – A resident student reported leaving keys behind in a bathroom in Washington Hall. A report was written for the incident and the cameras will be reviewed in an attempt to locate someone leaving with the keys.

12/11 – Smell of Marijuana – Residence Life reported an odor of marijuana coming from the second floor of Braddock Hall. Officers checked the area and were unable to determine where the odor was coming from.

12/12 – Criminal Mischief – Residence Life reported damage done in the first floor men’s room at Braddock Hall. Officers viewed the damage and took photographs. The cameras will be reviewed to identify a suspect or suspects in this incident.

12/12 – Missing Person – Residence Life advised this department of a student that has been missing since 11/28/11. Contact was made with a relative that stated this student was on his way back to campus from New York and that he is supposed to check in with this department when he arrives back to campus. This incident is pending at this time until contact is made with the student.

12/12 – Smell of Marijuana – Residence Life reported an odor of marijuana outside of Hancock Hall. Officers checked the area with negative results.
