An RMU alert was sent out to around 12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, announcing that the university will close at 2 p.m. due to weather conditions.

Both the Moon and Downtown campuses are closing at 2 p.m. However, the Island Sports Center will remain open.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory on Thursday that went into effect Friday morning at 10 a.m. and remains in effect until 1 a.m. on Saturday.

The university asked students, faculty and staff to use caution when leaving campus this afternoon.
