Robert Morris Interim President and Provost Mary Ann Rafoth to retire

Ethan Morrison, Editor In Chief

Just two weeks before the spring 2022 semester comes to an end, the Robert Morris Board of Trustees announced to students that the Interim President and Provost senior vice president for academic affairs will retire from both of her roles.

Dr. Rafoth was with the university since 2011 and was appointed Provost back in 2019.

When former president Dr. Chris Howard announced that he would be leaving Robert Morris University for Arizona State back in January, Rafoth was named Interim president while the university was in search of its next president.

Dean of the Robert Moris School of Business Dr. Michelle Patrick will replace Rafoth as interim president as the presidential search continues. Dr. Patrick will also fulfill the duties of the provost for the foreseeable future. She has led the School of Business since 2016.

The search for the ninth president of Robert Morris University continues.
