An SUV crashed into a Moon Area school district bus at an intersection Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred in the busy area of Montour Run Road and FedEx Drive around 4 pm. Many traffic delays and backups were caused by the surrounding lanes having to be blocked off while officials towed the bus off the side of the road.
The bus did have numerous students on it, but no one had to be taken to the hospital and any minor injuries were all treated at the scene.
Multiple units quickly responded to the crash and were praised by Brian D. Herskovitz, chief of EMS at the Valley Ambulance Authority: “We are grateful for the rapid coordination among law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel that ensured the safety of all involved.”
The incident is still under investigation by police in Moon Township.
