UPMC Events Center to host three WPIAL Semifinal games

On Thursday morning, the WPIAL announced that three WPIAL semi-final games would be played at the UPMC Events Center this Saturday.
The WPIAL boys 4A matchup will kick off the afternoon slate as in Class 4A Quaker Valley will take on Lincoln Park at noon.
Following that game, the first of two WPIAL 6A girl’s semifinal games will take to the court as 2. North Allegheny will match up against 3. Upper Saint Clair at 2:00 p.m. Immediately following that game the other half of the bracket features top-seeded Mt. Lebanon vs. 5. Bethel Park will tip at 4:00 p.m.
This is the first time since 2020 that the UPMC Events Center hosted high school basketball as Butler and Upper Saint Clair battled on the hardwood in Moon Township both for the WPIAL playoffs and the PIAA state playoff tournament.
Tickets are now on sale on Ticketmaster for all three games on Saturday.
