The Robert Morris University (RMU) NCAA men’s hockey team defeated the Penn State Nittany Lions by the score of 6-0.

Redshirt junior Andrew Blazek opened the scoring floodgates just 1:49 into the game with an unassisted goal.  Senior forward Adam Brace added a goal of his own at 16:33 of the first.

Just 28 seconds after the Brace goal, sophomore forward Cody Wydo scored his first of two goals on the night.

With only 38 seconds left in the first period, Wydo scored his second goal of the game with the assists going to Adam Brace and Evan Renwick.

After a scoreless second period, Matt Cope scored his first collegiate goal 4:23 into the third period.  Assists on Cope’s goal went to Zac Lynch and Greg Gibson.

Scoring the final goal of the night for the Colonials was senior defenseman Tyler Hinds.  This was the second goal in as many games for Hinds after scoring the game winning goal back on Dec. 15 at Ohio State.
