Logan Bittle named women’s hockey head coach

MOON TOWNSHIP– Robert Morris vice president and director of athletics Chris King announced that Logan Bittle will be returning to fill the vacant women’s hockey head coaching position Thursday afternoon.

Bittle is very familiar with the RMU hockey program. Before being behind the bench, Bittle was on the Colonials’ bench from 2004-2008, playing four seasons with Robert Morris. He posted 20 goals and 32 assists.
When he first became a coach for the Colonials in 2010, he started as an assistant coach for the women’s team and was later promoted to associate head coach in 2015. During his time behind the bench, the team had a record of 191-135-48.
He was a part of the two teams that made the NCAA Tournament in 2017 and 2021.
After the team was cut, Bittle spent his time coaching the Pens Elite U16 and U19 prep team. He will be tasked with rebuilding the program that he knows so much about.
