Men’s lacrosse falls to Bulldogs on senior day

Emotions ran high on Saturday for the Robert Morris University men’s lacrosse team. Although the Colonials had hoped to defeat conference foe Bryant on senior day, RMU was unable to do so, falling, 13-6, at Joe Walton Stadium.

Before the game, Robert Morris recognized seniors Tyler Rankel, Eric Madigan, Taylor Graves, Brain Bohn, Ryan Higgins, Justin McLiverty, and Sean Meagher.

Several of these players would later find themselves on the score sheet.

Bohn gave up four goals in the first quarter, putting the Bulldogs up after one. Early in the second frame, Meagher netted RMU’s first tally.

The third quarter lead to a bust of energy for the Colonials, with goals coming from Jacob Ruest, Eric Rankel, and Graves. Although they scored three in a row and had the game within reach of two, the remainder of the contest was taken over by Bulldogs.

Despite losing their past two and being eliminated from the NEC tournament, the Colonials look to finish out the season on a stronger note next weekend as they travel to Michigan.
