Preview: Tigers host the Wolverines

The Moon Tigers (2-6, 1-4) will battle the Woodland Hills Wolverines (2-6, 1-4) this Friday as both teams look to win after losing in their last games. Both of these teams have not performed well in the conference and currently, neither team is in contention for the section playoffs.

The Woodland Wolverines are coming off of a 24-7 nonconference loss to the Seneca Valley Raiders (6-2, 2-2).

Some Wolverines to look out for are Tywuan Milton and Mike Roman. Milton is a linebacker who has a great run-stopping ability and gets dirty in the trenches. His attack first mentality also helps on the offensive side where he plays guard. Roman is the Wolverines primary receiver who is a key factor in their offense. Roman has breakout speed and good hands which helps tremendously in the Wolverine aerial attack.

The Moon Tigers are coming off of a 24-16 conference loss to the Upper St. Clair Panthers (7-1, 4-1).

Some Tigers to look out for are Christian Tanner and Dawson Snyder. Tanner is the linebacker and running back. At linebacker, Tanner is known for his leadership and extraordinary talent. Tanner always blows up plays in the backfield and can cover all parts of the field. On offense, he is the X-factor. Tanner has caught and ran for multiple touchdowns this year.

Snyder is a receiver, cornerback, and return man for the Tigers. Snyder almost always seems to make key plays on offense because of his agility, great catching ability, and route running. Snyder is a reliable option on defense because of his coverage and tackling ability. Do not sleep on his returning ability either. If he sees a gap he will exploit it on the return.

The Tigers look to defend their home turf and secure a win in a tough conference. This game will showcase a heavily offensive team in Moon against a defensive-minded team in Woodland Hills.
