Portrait unveiling of Rex Crawley

With the passing of beloved professor Rex Crawley only two short years ago after complications from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, Robert Morris University honored his memory with the unveiling of a portrait on Friday, Nov. 20 in the first level of the Wheatley Center. The unveiling included a portrait of Crawley, as well as a biography of his life's work.

The Robert Morris University Show Band has taken on a special task to send some joy to the troops overseas. Up until December, the band will be collecting Oreos for a cause called Operation Oreo. The idea behind the collection is to send the cookies to the military as a small reminder of what's back home.

Allegheny County held elections on Nov 3. According to Allegheny County's Unofficial Results summary report, there was a voter turn out of only 25.95 percent of registered voters in the county; 221,564 ballots were cast at the polls from a pool of 853,725 registered voters.

With three days before Halloween, the Department of English at Robert Morris University and Sigma Tau Delta presented an evening of Gothic horror with the eighth annual Creepy Conference from 7-9 p.m. in the Wheatley Atrium.
