The Alpha Chi Rho fraternity hosted their third AXP Car Bash on Wednesday at the Nicholson Firepit. It started at 9 a.m. and went until about 5 p.m.

Students used mallets, and spray paint to destroy an old car that was donated to the organization.

“A lot of people get their aggressions out from their classes,” said Noah Meyer, a member of AXP. “It’s just a good time to see the RMU students out here and just being able to take a little fun out on the car, and it’s all for a good cause.”

The proceeds from the swings go towards philanthropies that AXP is associated with, including Brothers Dads with Cancer and Habitat for Humanity, along with local organizations such as the Elk Club.

“We have [a] bunch of different places we like to donate to just to give back to the people who have given back to us,” said Meyer.

Meyer also talked about the uniqueness of the event, along with the campus as a whole.

“It shows a lot towards us, it shows a lot towards how RMU is and how RMU is so diverse and how there’s always something going on every day.”
