Every single New Year people all around the world make resolutions. They create a list or something they want to start or stop doing to create a better version of themselves. Resolutions aren’t just goals but they’re seeds that are placed in our heads to grow us into our best selves hopefully. They help us learn, give us motivation, care for ourselves, create habits, become healthier, and aim higher. The most important part is to make resolutions that are not only those you truly want but also ones that make you enjoy the journey, and stay strong when things get tough. Celebrate the small wins—they show how far we’ve come.

There is a book called Atomic Habits by James Clear that says,

“Making a choice that is 1 percent better or 1 percent worse seems insignificant at the moment, but throughout moments that make up a lifetime these choices determine the difference between who you are and who you could be. Success is the product of daily habits—not once-in-a-lifetime transformations.”

Throughout the book, it explains how starting everything at one hundred percent effort you get burnt out and end up failing the goal or task whereas if you slowly start and only give it one percent effort at a time slowly increasing you are more likely to keep whatever you are trying to start and bring into your life… making it a habit. This book is a must-read for those looking to build a habit!
