Koppers Holding Inc., most commonly known as Koppers, recently completed a $494 million acquisition of the wood preservation and railroad services business of Osmose Holdings, Inc.

PNC Financial Services, another business headquartered in Pittsburgh provided Koppers with financial support in the acquisition of the Osmose businesses. The Wood Preservations business is now known as Koppers Performance Chemicals and the Railroad Service business is now known as Koppers Railroad Structures.

Located and headquartered in the Koppers Building in downtown Pittsburgh, the company is a global leader within the carbon compounds and commercial wood treatment products and services.
