Being active on campus is just as important as attending class, and with numerous clubs and organizations at Robert Morris University, there literally is something for everyone.

“It’s the best four years of your life make the most of it from day one,” advised John Locke, director of student activities and leadership development. “Through student life, we provide countless opportunities to make endless memories.”

Clubs and organizations across campus can be broken down into the following categories: social media, social sororities/ fraternities, intermural club sports, academic/professional organizations, honor societies, leadership positions, campus ministry association, governing organizations, performance groups, service and philanthropic organizations, and special interest organizations and activities.

One club that is rapidly growing on campus is Student Alliance for Equality (S.A.F.E.).

“S.A.F.E. is Student Alliance for Equality, and does exactly what the name suggests,” explained Adrianna Carbonara, an active member of the organization. “Everyone and anyone is invited to join S.A.F.E. On campus, we hold an annual Rainbow Walk and participate in the National Day of Silence.”

New clubs and organizations are always being created, and this semester is no exception.

The Nuclear Medicine Club is RMU’s newest addition with Associate Professor of Nuclear Medicine Technology William Wentling serving as the club’s faculty advisor. According to Assistant Dean of Students Maureen Keefer, the club’s objective is to assist with interclass socialization of Nuclear Medicine Technology students, support the expansion of a service-learning project in the surrounding community, and to aid in the professional development of future Nuclear Medicine Technology students.

If you are interested in getting more involved on campus here is a complete list of all the clubs and organizations on campus.

Student Life will also be holding an Activities Fair on Sep. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in which students can sign-up and learn more about the various groups on campus.
