10/14/14 – Medical Emergency – Officers responded to Ross Hall for a student with problems breathing.  The complainant was transported by Valley Ambulance to Sewickley Valley Hospital. (Closed)

10/14/14 – Medical Emergency – Officers responded to the John Jay Center for male with an unknown medical issue.  Officers assisted and the complainant was transported by Valley Ambulance to Sewickley Valley Hospital. (Closed)

10/14/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activation in Concord Hall.  Officers responded and found burnt food to be the cause of the alarm activation.  Maintenance was able to reset the alarm. (Closed)

10/14/14 – Power Outage – University wide power outage caused multiple fire alarms to activate in John Jay, Salem Hall, Lexington, and Lafayette.  Officers responded and determined the alarms to be caused by the power outage. (Closed)

10/14/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm in Concord Hall.  Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt food.  Maintenance was able to reset the alarm. (Closed)

10/14/14 – Student Conduct – Officers observed a male moving one of the umbrellas from the Nicholson Plaza.  Officers identified the male and had the umbrella returned.  The student is being sent through judicial affairs. (Closed)

10/15/14 – Recovered Property – Officers recovered a purse from the Nicholson Food Court.  The owner was contacted and she retrieved her items a short time later. (Closed)

10/16/14 – Traffic Stop – While on patrol an officer observed a vehicle travel through the stop sign at Colonial Way and Campus Drive without stopping.  The officer conducted a traffic stop for the violation.  Citations for the stop sign violation, no insurance, and no valid registration were issued. (Closed)

10/17/14 – Accident – Driver struck curb near the Nicholson Center, causing damage to his tire and axle.  Officers responded and assisted the motorist who was able to get the vehicle towed a short time later. (Closed)

10/18/14 – Trouble Alarm – Guardian Protection reported a trouble alarm in Salem Hall.  Officers notified maintenance of the issue. (Closed)

10/18/14 – Criminal Mischief – CA in Lexington Hall reported a male kicked in his door.  Officers responded and were able to identify the male.  The male is being charged with criminal mischief and being sent through judicial affairs. (Closed)

10/19/14 – Trouble Alarm – Guardian Protection reported a trouble alarm in Salem Hall.  Officers responded along with maintenance and were able to reset the alarm. (Closed)

10/19/14 – Fire Alarm – Residents in Salem Hall reported smoke alarm going off in their apartment.  Officers responded with maintenance who had to replace the smoke detectors the following morning. (Closed)

10/19/14 – Missing Property – Student came to police station reporting her wallet was lost in downtown Pittsburgh.  Officer made contact with Pittsburgh Police who recovered the wallet and were able to return it to its owner. (Closed)

10/19/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm in Salem Hall.  Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt food.  Maintenance reset the alarm. (Closed)

10/20/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm in John Jay.  Officers responded along with maintenance finding the alarm to triggered by a dirty alarm sensor.  Maintenance cleaned the alarm sensor and reset the alarm. (Closed)

10/20/14 – Property Damage – Student in Yorktown Hall reported that someone tampered with his laundry.  Officers were able to identify the suspect.  Investigation open. (Open)

10/20/14 – Medical Emergency – Student in Jefferson Center reports chest pains.  Officers responded and assisted Valley Ambulance who transported the patient to Sewickley Valley Hospital. (Closed)

10/20/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian Protection reported a general fire alarm in the Nicholson Center.  Officers responded and checked the building for signs of fire with negative results.  Maintenance responded finding the cause of the alarms to be a problem with the alarm panel.   (Closed)

10/20/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm in Concord Hall.  Officers found the point of activation to be a smoke detector that was activated by a shower.  Maintenance responded and reset the alarm. (Closed)

10/20/14 – Student Conduct – This department is investigating vandalism to doors in the residence halls. (Open)

10/20/14 – Lost Property – Student reported lost property in Yorktown Hall.  This case is currently under investigation. (Open)

10/20/14 – Fire – Mulch in the Yorktown Hall Parking Lot caught fire and began to smoke.  Officers and maintenance were able to extinguish the fire without incident. (Closed)

10/20/14 – Lost Property – While on patrol officer was given a wallet that was found.  The owner was contacted and claimed his property at the police station a short time later. (Closed)
