11/09/21: Welfare Check: An anonymous caller requested a welfare check on a student. Officers contacted Residence Life and spoke with the student in Yorktown Hall. The caller was advised the student is safe. The case is closed.

 

11/09/21: 201 Commitment: A student reported not feeling well and wished to voluntarily check themselves into the hospital. Officers responded and contacted Residence Life. The student agreed to be driven by a friend to the hospital. This case is closed.

 

11/11/21: Departmental Information: RMU Police ran a criminal history on a newly hired police officer. The case is closed.

 

11/11/21: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be unknown. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

 

11/11/21: Traffic Stop: RMU Police observed a vehicle that failed to stop at two posted stop signs. The officer conducted a traffic stop and explained the reason for the stop. The driver was issued two citations. The case is closed.

 

11/11/21: Medical Emergency: A RMU Island Sports Center Security Guard reported an injured hockey player. Medics responded and transported the player to the hospital. This case is closed.

11/11/21: Departmental Information: RMU Maintenance reporting the salt and shovel missing from Salem Hall. This incident was given to the Detective to review. The case is closed.

 

11/14/21: Accident Involving Damage – Att. Veh/Prop: RMU staff reported witnessing a vehicle wreck into the side of a shuttle bus at Yorktown Hall. Moon Township Police were on scene due to the accident occurring on University Blvd. No students were injured. This case is closed.

 

11/14/21: Aggravated Indecent Assault: A student reported a sexual assault to RMU Police. Officers contacted Allegheny County Police to investigate. The case is closed.
