RMU 8 2-0-2 (AHC 2-0-2), Niagara 2 (0-3-1, AHC 0-1-1): The Colonials finished their weekend play against Niagara in Niagara Falls, New York on a high note Saturday.. RMU scored four first period goals to get off to a hot start. Senior Greg Gibson led the Colonials offensively as he found the back of the net three times to record a hat trick. Gibson scored two first period goals to help the Colonials get off to their quick start and then completed the hat trick on a power play goal in the second period. Junior Daniel Leavens scored two goals for the Colonials, one in the first period and one in the third period. Robert Morris scored five power play goals throughout the game. Senior Terry Shafer started for the Colonials in goal and picked up the win making 34 saves.
