The Colonials were unable earn their first victory of the season losing 5-3 to Colgate.

Colgate 5 (1-0-0), RMU 3 (0-2-1): The Colonials took on Colgate Friday night as they eyed their first victory of the season as they played Colgate in Hamilton, N.Y. However, Robert Morris was unable to pull off the road victory as Colgate won 5-3. Colgate scored the first three goals of the game before RMU could find the back of the net. Freshman Amber Rennie got the Colonials on the board in the second period with her third goal of the season making the score 3-1. Colgate then opened their lead to 4-1 but in the third period Senior Ashley Vesci made the score 4-2 and later in the period sophomore Brittany Howard cut the Colonials deficit to 4-3. The Raiders were able to secure the victory via an open-net goal with time running out in regulation. RMU goalie Jessica Dodds faced 26 shots in the loss.
