The Colonials picked up their third win of the season Friday defeating Grand Canyon in Flagstaff, Arizona.

RMU 2 (3-5), Grand Canyon 1 (3-4-1): Robert Morris kicked off their play in the Mountain Classic in Flagstaff, Arizona Friday evening in positive fashion as they defeated Grand Canyon by a score of 2-1. The Colonials scored first via a goal off the foot of senior Cassie Raymond in the 48th minute. Grand Canyon tied the game at one eleven minutes later. Gabrielle Corrente’s goal in the 88th minute gave RMU the 2-1 lead and it turned out to be the goal that allowed Robert Morris to secure the road win. Goaltender Serena Donmoyer started for the Colonials in net, made four saves, and allowed one goal in the process of picking up her first win of the season.

Northern Arizona 6 (5-4), RMU 1 (3-6): the Colonials ended their play in the Mountain Classic Sunday afternoon with a 6-1 loss to Northern Arizona. Northern Arizona scored the game’s first five goals. RMU got on the board in the 77th minute via a goal by sophomore Kayla Kelley. Serena Donmoyer made eight saves for Robert Morris in net.
