02/08/22: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be unknown. RMU Maintenance and Moon Township Fire Department responded. No sign of smoke or fire was found. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

 

02/08/22: Assist other Police/EMS Agency: Moon Township Police requested a female officer for a search. The case is closed.

 

02/08/22: Departmental Information: A student reported falling down the stairs inside the Hale Center and cracking their laptop. Pictures were taken of the area and added to the report. This case is closed.

 

02/10/22: Medical Emergency: A student came to the Barry Center to seek medical attention. RMU Police called the Counselor-in-Residence to speak with the student. The case is closed.

 

02/10/22: Departmental Information: A student requested RMU Police to help in locating a missing backpack possibly left in the PNC Café. Cameras were checked with negative findings. This case is closed.

 

02/10/22: 201 Commitment: RMU Counseling Center requested an ambulance for a 201 commitment. The case is closed.

02/11/22: Harassment by Communication: This incident is being investigated by an outside police department. RMU Police issued a Trespass warning for the RMU Island Sports Center. The case is closed.

 

02/11/22: Medical Emergency: Residence Life requested an ambulance for a student in Gallatin Hall. Medics responded and evaluated the student. They refused transportation. This case is closed.

 

02/11/22: Careless Driving: RMU Police conducted a traffic stop for careless driving. The officer explained the reason for the stop and issued one parking ticket. The case is closed.

 

02/11/22: Motor Vehicle Accident without Injury: RMU Police received a report of a hit and run in the UPMC Events Center Lower Lot. Officers responded and spoke with the victim and witnesses. All pertinent information and pictures were taken for insurance purposes. The driver who left the scene was identified and will be cited. This case is closed.

 

02/12/22: Missing Property: A student called to report their clothes missing from the laundry room in Washington Hall. The Detective reviewed the cameras and is waiting for the identification of two students. The case is closed.

 

02/12/22: Departmental Information: A parent reported to the ISC Public Safety Officer a locker room was vandalized at the RMU Island Sports Center. Pictures were taken. This incident was forwarded to the RMU Detectives. This case is pending.

 

02/13/22: Suspicious Incident: A parent reported damage to their hockey player’s equipment at the RMU island Sports Center. Pictures were taken. RMU Detectives are reviewing the cameras. The case is pending.

 

02/13/22: Motor Vehicle Accident without Injury: An Island Sports Complex Public Safety Officer received a report of a hit and run in the parking lot. A witness filled out a voluntary statement form. This case is closed.
