The shop carries over 40 flavors of ice cream from both regional and national vendors. Pictured above is the “Playdoh” flavor, which is a hit with children.

Along with ice cream, The Confectionery is known for its locally produced Gelato. Brought in weekly from Kittanning, flavors like Death By Chocolate are a “must have” in the shop.

Something different that Bichsel offers is a glass-bottle milk delivery service. The returnable bottles are delivered to him from a local farm at the shop, and then taken all over the area to those who place orders.

Even in these cold winter months the shop has its regulars. These Quaker Valley students are attracted here for the 25-cent soft drinks. The place is a quiet hangout for the students, and a nice place to wind down after a day of classes.
