RMU and Vitalant to host blood drive

Robert Morris University has partnered with Vitalant to hold another Blood Drive. The event is hosted by RMU Colonials and Community Service. The drive will take place on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will occur at the Franklin Center in room 204.

Although walk-ins are welcome for the Blood Drive, appointments are recommended. One way to make an appointment is by going to https://donateblood.centralbloodbank.org/. On that site, click “Donor Login” if you have donated previously or “New Donor” if you have not donated before. Once you get to the “Schedule your Appointment Today” screen, it will ask for a group code to ensure you are registering for the correct location. The code is “CU160001.” If you cannot schedule online, call 412-209-7000.

Vitalant helps both people in the local community and across the country when they are in need of blood. They respond to tragedies and natural disasters when blood is needed. Donated blood also is given to hospitals, surgical centers and emergency treatment facilities to help save the lives of those who need it.

Students who donate blood will receive SET Credit for the category of Service. For more information go to the RMU Revolution page or vitalant.org.
