MOON TOWNSHIP– The Robert Morris Campus Recreation Center will be reopening all outdoor facilities at the North Athletic Complex on Monday.

According to an email sent to all students, “Now that the weather is improving and we’re seeing better temperatures and the sun more often, the Campus Recreation Department will be reopening the outdoor facilities on Monday, courts effective this upcoming Monday, March 1, 2021.”

With temperatures projected to be in the high-40s to mid-50s over the next week, the outdoor facilities can now be in use with the better weather.

They will implement time slot signup much like the one they use for the indoor facilities.

The COVID protocols for the outdoor facilities remain the same as the fall semester, which are:

  • Two students per basketball hoop
  • Three students per hockey goal
  • Four students per pickleball court
  • Four students per tennis court

In addition to this, students are not allowed to engage in player-on-player activity, as shoot-around or skill work is encouraged.

Mask mandates are still enforced for the outdoor courts, and students also must bring their own equipment.

Students interested in signing up for a time slot can do so at rmu.edu/fitness.
