Robert Morris will celebrate a “weekend to remember” as the university inaugurates ninth President Dr. Michelle Patrick to begin homecoming weekend festivities.

The weekend begins Oct. 7 at 1:30 p.m. with Madame Presidents’s inauguration ceremony held in the UPMC Events Center.

The ceremony is followed by a free reception under a tent at the gazebo.

All afternoon classes on Oct. 7 have been canceled so students can attend both the ceremony and reception, as Madame President wants the students to be a big part of her inauguration experience.

On Oct. 8 at 10 a.m., people can gather at the Gazebo for $25 for a pregame featuring brunch, mimosas and mingling.

They can then traverse to the homecoming football game at 12 p.m. to watch the RMU Colonials take on Gardner-Webb.

Closing out the weekend at 8:30 p.m. is a performance from “Earth, Wind, and Fire” at the UPMC Events center who are celebrating their 50th anniversary in entertainment.

With all the activities, this weekend is bound to live up to its name; “a weekend to remember.”
