Towson has been a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) representative since 2001, coached by Paul Skerry since 2011. They finished the 2022-23 season third in their conference with a record of 20-11 and 10-6 in conference play, and they qualified for the CAA Semifinals for the second consecutive year.

Skerry and the Tigers had their most conference wins since 1994 as they won a share of the CAA regular season title in 2021-22 with a record of 25-9 and 15-3 in conference play, including an NIT appearance for the first time in program history.

This will be the second time these programs have faced each other in history. The Colonials came out on top with a nail-biting 67-66 win on the road over the Tigers in 2016.

The Tigers are the fifth opponent to be announced in the Colonials’ non-conference schedule. (Xavier, Wisconsin, Fairleigh Dickinson and Jacksonville)

Another competitive non-conference schedule looks to be in the works for Andy Toole and company this fall.
