ERIE — The first game of a home-and-home series against Mercyhurst (4-8, 2-4 AHA) has been rescheduled for January 14th. The Robert Morris men’s hockey team (7-5-1, 7-2-1 AHA) was scheduled to face Mercyhurst at 7:05 p.m. on black Friday, before the two teams traveled to Pittsburgh for a game on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.

The game was rescheduled due to a structural problem at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.  This does not affect Saturday’s game, as it takes place at the RMU Island Sports Complex. That game will still take place at 7:05 p.m.

The Colonials and Lakers will now face off three times during the week of the 14th as the two rivals were already scheduled to play each other in a home-and-home series on January 17-18.

After playing Mercyhurst on Saturday, the Colonials will travel to Bridgeport, Conn. to take on Sacred Heart (8-6-1, 7-4 AHA) for a two-game series that will carry major conference implications.
