MOON TOWNSHIP– With the end of the fall semester wrapping up, the Robert Morris athletics programs have a light schedule for this weekend, with only two match-ups on the docket for the Colonials.

Men’s Hockey vs. Army – Saturday, Dec. 15 @ 5:05 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 16 @ 1:05 p.m.

Coming off a disappointing weekend where they were swept by Sacred Heart (11-6-1, 10-4 AHC), the Robert Morris men’s hockey team (7-7-2, 7-4-2 AHC) looks to return to form this weekend as they host the Army West Point Black Knights (11-5, 9-5 AHC).

This weekend poses a large opportunity for the Colonials to jump up in the Atlantic Hockey standings, as the Colonials are only a game behind the Black Knights in the conference.

As mentioned, Robert Morris is coming off a weekend in which they were beaten convincingly by Sacred Heart, by a total score of 10-2 over the weekend. The lone goals were scored by sophomore Kip Hoffman; his first of the season, and senior Jacob Coleman; his fifth, tying his career-high.

Women’s Basketball @ Rhode Island – Sunday, December 16 @ noon

Similar to the men’s hockey, the Robert Morris women’s basketball team (4-4) looks to rebound from an unsatisfying 73-62 loss to the Delaware Blue Hens (3-5) at home. They will look to do this against Atlantic 10 foe Rhode Island (6-3) on Sunday at the Ryan Center in Kingston, Rhode Island.

The Colonials’ last game was almost a week ago, as they hosted Delaware. Robert Morris lost 73-62 but was outscored 44-26 in the first half. Dahomée Forgues led the Colonials in the game with 14 points, while Nneka Ezeigbo grabbed 10 boards.
