Apartment damaged after fire on Moon Clinton Road

MOON TOWNSHIP – An apartment in Treetop Manors was damaged after a structure fire Monday afternoon.

Residents near the area of Moon Clinton Road say they saw heavy smoke and heard helicopters at the scene. The Moon Township Volunteer Fire Department Station 197 was present at the scene at approximately 1:50 pm.

Ten dogs were rescued from the basement of the home.

Officials say that the home on Moon Clinton Road between Pear Orchard and International Drive is not in good condition and is damaged. The owners of the home can not currently live in the space.

The Moon Township Police Department told residents to stay away from Moon Clinton Road between Pear Orchard and International Drive in a Facebook post this afternoon.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.
