PITTSBURGH — After the shooting at a Squirrel Hill synagogue on Oct. 27, officials in Pittsburgh Public Safety remain overwhelmed with the continuous support of the community.

First responders in stations across the city have received numerous visitors who show their appreciation by offering food, cards, hugs and words of kindness.

The city says, “Thank you. You are evidence that Pittsburgh is indeed Stronger Than Hate.”

The city now asks the community to direct their donations to others who need it more, according to the press release. Public Safety does not want the food to go to waste and has organized a list of food banks and others who are in need of donations.

Pittsburgh Public Safety thanks the steel city for their support and generosity.
