Fire Alarm/Smoke Detector Activated: Moon Dispatch reported a fire alarm activated in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt food. The fire department was cancelled and panel reset.

Accident Involving Damage – Unattended Vehicle: RMU EST reported they hit a student’s vehicle in the Lexington Lot. Officers made contact with the owner. Report and pictures taken for insurance purposes.

March 18, 2020

Lost Property: RMU student reported their router is missing from Salem Hall. The student was notified that it was abandoned property since they did not take it when they moved out.

March 19, 2020

Departmental Information: Parent called requesting advice on an incident that took place in the dorms. They were referred to RES Life and Title IX.

March 20, 2020

Disturbance/Loud Music or People: Anonymous caller reports a group of males breaking a desk in the hallway in Salem Hall. Officers responded and identified two students. They were sent through student conduct.

March 21, 2020

Welfare Check: RMU Police Department received a call from a parent requesting a welfare check on their student. Officers and Residence Life were unable to locate the student. The student did notify the police and call his parents.

March 23, 2020

Fire Alarm/False Activation: Moon Dispatch reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found an EST had accidentally activated the alarm while cleaning. Fire department was cancelled and panel reset.

Welfare Check: RMU Police Department received a call from a parent requesting a welfare check on their student. Officers located the students’ car on campus. The student did notify the police and call his parents.
