9/30/14 – Lost Property – A wallet was turned into this department, and returned to its owner. (Closed)

9/30/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Lexington hall.  Upon officers arrival it was determined that the cause was burnt food.  Maintenance was notified and the alarm was reset. (Closed)

9/30/14 – Trouble Alarm – Guardian reported a trouble alarm activated in the Media Arts house.  Upon arrival the panel read “Ground Fault”, maintenance was notified and the alarm was reset. (Closed)

9/30/14 – Disorderly Conduct – Residence life reported a smell of marijuana on the second floor of Gallatin hall.  One student was cited for disorderly conduct, and underage drinking.  (Closed)

10/1/14 – Student Conduct – Residence life reported a strong odor of marijuana on the third floor of Yorktown hall.  Residence life keyed into the room once officers were present and found indicators in the room related to marijuana, as well as an odor present.  This incident will be handled through Residence life for student conduct drugs. (Closed)

10/1/14 – Traffic Stop – An officer conducted a traffic stop for a stop sign violation in the lower Sewall parking lot.  The stop ended up with the driver being cited for no proof of insurance, and operating a vehicle without inspection. (Closed)

10/2/14 – Traffic Stop – An officer conducted a traffic stop on Campus drive for a stop sign violation.  The driver was cited for the violation and released. (Closed)

10/2/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Monroe hall.  Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt food.  Maintenance was notified and the alarm was reset. (Closed)

10/2/14 – Missing Property – An employee reported losing their University issued keys.  A report was issued and forwarded to the University Locksmith. (Closed)

10/2/14 – Theft – A student reported their clothes taken from the laundry room in Gallatin hall.  This incident is currently under investigation. (Open)

10/2/14 – Criminal Mischief – A student reported their vehicle vandalized while parked in the Upper Massey parking lot.  Pictures were taken of the damage to the vehicle and a report was written for insurance purposes. (Closed)

10/2/14 – Medical Emergency – Health Services requested an ambulance for a student experiencing numbness on their left side.  Valley Ambulance was notified and transported the student to Sewickley Valley Hospital for treatment. (Closed)

10/2/14 – Lost Property – A student reported losing their freedom card and room key.  A report was taken and the student was advised if the items were turned into this department, they would be notified. (Closed)

10/2/14 – Transport – The University Counseling Center requested transport to Sewickley Valley Hospital for a student needing a medical evaluation. (Closed)

10/3/14 – Public Drunkenness – This department was advised of a male unresponsive in a vehicle in the Colonial way parking lot.  Officers responded and contacted Valley Ambulance to transport the male to Sewickley Valley Hospital for treatment.  The male (non-student) was cited for public drunkenness and issued a trespass warning for campus. 10/3/14 – Lost Property – An employee reported losing their University issued keys.  A report was written and forwarded to the University locksmith. (Closed)

10/3/14 – Departmental Information – A coach reported sending a text message to a player, not knowing they changed their phone number, and receiving a phone call from a parent who was upset about the test message.  The parent was contacted by this department and advised of the mistake.  The parent was understanding and was relieved that it was a mistake. (Closed)

10/3/14 – Medical Emergency – This department transported a student to MED Express for an injury to their ankle. (Closed)

10/3/14 – Smell of Marijuana – This department was advised of a smell of marijuana outside of Madison hall.  Officers checked the surrounding area with negative results. (Closed)

10/3/14 – Public Drunkenness – While on patrol, officers viewed a male stumbling in the roadway by the Gazebo.  The male was taken back to Barry Center issued a citation for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, underage drinking and a trespass warning. (Closed)

10/3/14 – Public Drunkenness – RMU shuttle driver reported a male passed out on the shuttle.  The male was identified as a non-student, and cited for public drunkenness, and underage drinking. (Closed)

10/3/14 – Underage Drinking – Officers were approached at the Homecoming dance in reference to a female vomiting in a garbage can.  The female was taken to Sewickley Valley Hospital by Valley Ambulance for treatment, and cited for underage drinking. (Closed)

10/3/14 – Harassment – A female student reported being grabbed by a male student during the Homecoming dance.  This incident is currently under investigation and possible charges are pending. (Open)

10/3/14 – Smell of Marijuana – Residence life reported an odor of marijuana in Hancock hall.  Officers responded checked the room in question and the rest of the building with negative results. (Closed)

10/3/14 – Underage Drinking – This department was advised of a male passed out and unresponsive on the floor at the Homecoming dance.  Valley Ambulance transported the male to Sewickley Valley Hospital for treatment, and the male was cited for public intoxication and underage drinking. (Closed)

10/3/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Adams hall.  Upon officers arrival it was determined that the alarm was set off by an e-cigarette.  The alarm was reset and the student was advised that e-cigarettes are not permitted to be used in any building on campus. (Closed)

10/4/14 – Departmental Information – An officer is investigation a possible harassment incident done through a social media site.  This incident is still under investigation at this time. (Open)

10/4/14 – Public Drunkenness – While on patrol an officer was stopped by patrons at, the football game reported an intoxicated male on the Nicholson Student Center lawn.  Officers located the male, cited him for public drunkenness and transported him to the Coraopolis Police Department for lodging. (Closed)

10/5/14 – Lost Property – A wallet was turned into this department while at Yorktown hall.  The owner of the wallet was notified via email to pick up their wallet at the Barry Center. (Closed)

10/5/14 – Departmental Information – Moon Twp. PD dropped off three males at Yorktown hall that were cited for underage drinking and criminal mischief. (Closed)

10/5/14 – Simple Assault – This department was advised of an altercation between two employees.  The information was obtained and this incident is currently under investigation. (Open)

10/5/14 – Accident – A guest reported damage done to their vehicle while parked in the lower Sewall Center lot.  Pictures were taken of the damage and a report was issued for insurance purposes. (Closed)

10/5/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Concord hall.  Upon officers arrival it was determined that the cause for the alarm was from the residents cooking. Maintenance was notified the alarm was reset. (Closed)

10/5/14 – Burglary – The RMU Rugby coach reported their shed broken into and items taken from inside.  This incident is under investigation at this time. (Open)

10/5/14 – Lost Property – A student reported losing their freedom card in the Yorktown café, all pertinent information was obtained and the student was advised they would be notified if it is turned into this department. (Closed)

10/5/14 – Medical Emergency – This department was advised of a male with a head injury at Joe Walton Stadium.  The male student was transported to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment by Valley Ambulance Authority. (Closed)

10/5/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Concord hall.  Upon officers arrival the cause for the alarm was determined to be burnt food.  Maintenance was notified and the alarm was reset. (Closed)

10/5/14 – Recovered Property – While on patrol in Yorktown hall, an officer found a projector belonging to Media Services.  The projector was placed in the substation at Yorktown for safekeeping until returned to Media Services. (Closed)

10/6/14 – Trouble Alarm – Guardian reported a trouble alarm activated in Concord hall.  Maintenance was notified, checked the alarm and reset the panel. (Closed)

10/6/14 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Concord hall.  The residents were cooking and set off the alarm.  Maintenance was advised and reset the alarm panel. (Closed)

10/6/14 – Fire Alarm – Fire alarm activation at Yorktown hall, the building was evacuated and all areas checked with negative results.  Maintenance is checking into the false activation. (Closed)

10/6/14 – Property Damage – While on patrol at Yorktown hall, an officer found the pool table damaged in the old   fitness room.  Students attempted to move the table to exercise and ended up breaking the legs. (Closed)
