This afternoon, the Horizon League announced its All-League teams, and Robert Morris guard Esther Castedo has been named to the league’s Third Team.

In her senior season, Castedo was the most consistent player in the RMU lineup, averaging 10.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.8 steals, becoming an elite stat-sheet stuffer for the squad.

Her best scoring performance came in the team’s Horizon League opener at Detroit Mercy, where she dropped 23 points on nine made field goals.

Castedo scored double-digit points in 14 of the team’s 27 games, including a stretch of eight games where she reached 10 or more in seven of them from 1/20-2/18.

Other members of the team include Nadia Dumas (Cleveland State), Rachel Kent (IUPUI), Kahlaijah Dean (Oakland) and Shayla Sellers (PFW).

Castedo and the Colonials will host fellow all-league team member Sellers and Purdue Fort Wayne for their first-round Horizon League Tournament matchup tomorrow at 7:00 p.m.
