Rasheem Dunn has grad-transferred to Robert Morris.

It is indeed the year of the transfer portal. Usually, we are discussing how Andy Toole has been dealing with the transfer epidemic, but this year, the NCAA as a whole has been dealing with a transfer epidemic.

With that being said, earlier this afternoon redshirt senior Rasheem Dunn announced via his Instagram that he had committed to Robert Morris after spending his last two seasons with St. John’s.

Dunn is no stranger to the Colonials, as he spent his freshman and sophomore years with Saint Francis (NY), RMU’s former Northeast Conference foe, where he averaged 14.3 points per game.

After his sophomore campaign ended, he decided to put his name into the transfer portal and committed to Cleveland State, but due to NCAA’s transfer rules Dunn had to sit out a year.

Dunn never suited up for a game with the Vikings, deciding to take his talents back to the East Coast and committed to St. John’s after the 2018-19 season. In his redshirt junior season, he appeared in 20 games and started in 15, averaging 11.9 points per game.

In his redshirt senior season with the Johnnies, his numbers dipped a tad as he averaged 9.4 points per game.

Due to the NCAA’s blanket year of eligibility, Dunn will have one more year of eligibility and will play as a graduate transfer.

This is a huge get for Andy Toole and company, bolstering their guard class which is filled with talent. This gives the guard class some much-needed veteran presence as the youngest guards in the class are sophomores after Jon Williams graduated and Dante Treacy transferred to Radford.
