PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers and Penn Hills Police are looking for the public’s assistance to solve the murder of a 48-year-old man.

On Jan. 26, 2019, police responded to shots fired on 4343 Verona Street. Shots were heard at about 12:13 a.m. When authorities arrived at the scene they found Paul McMillan suffering gunshot wounds to his abdomen.

McMillan was found in the Verona Bar and was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

According to authorities, McMillan got into a physical altercation with a man at the bar. After this, McMillan left the bar. Shortly after his departure, gunfire was reported outside of the bar.

Authorities report that McMillan was driving white Dodge pickup truck down Verona road when he was shot by gunfire that is believed to have come from the parking lot of the bar.
