RMU Student Media convergence efforts flourish

Jacob Hartzfeld, Bri Ferguson and Andrea Zanaglio

Over the course of the past two years, thanks in-part to former Communications Department Head Dr. Andrea Frantz and current Student Media Advisor Carrie Moniot, the idea of convergent media has become a reality for RMU Student Media.

This month RMU Sentry Media officially moved from room 118 in the Patrick Henry Center to the former Pod Lab in room 100 of Patrick Henry. With this move, all students involved with the student-run newspaper, The Sentry, RMU-TV, RMU Radio and the RMU Sentry Media multimedia website can work side-by-side to collaborate and expand coverage on and off campus.

View the video above to hear from Communications Interim Department Head Heather Pinson, Academic Media Center Director Michael DiLauro, Student Media Advisor Carrie Moniot, Journalism Professor Anthony Moretti, Lifestyles Editor Leah Moose and freshman Staff Writer Paul Wintruba with their thoughts on the current convergent progress.
