First National Bank robbed in the South Side Flats

PITTSBURGH — The First National Bank on East Carson Street is currently under investigation from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Major Crimes.

On the morning of Nov. 1, an unidentified male actor walked up to a teller and demanded an undisclosed amount of money.

Police officers and detectives left the Zone 3 department around 10:20 a.m. to respond to the alleged robbery.

According to a press release, a weapon was not observed during the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.

The male actor is reported to be in his 40s, 5-feet 11-inches and approximately 230 pounds.

During the robbery, he wore a black jacket, baseball cap, jeans and white tennis shoes.
